It's Friday the 13th, so I will tell you about the one susperstition I firmly hold to be true.
Photocopiers break on Friday the 13th.
When I was teaching high school in Canada, I deliberately did all my prepping in advance because I KNEW we wouldn't have a photocopier on THAT Friday. And I was almost always right!
Let's not discuss the frequency of the photocopier breaking on other Fridays. It's immaterial for a superstition.
Okay - that's the scary part of this blog (and if you think it wasn't scary, you've never faced a broken photocopier with 32 students sitting in the classroom waiting for their assignments). The amazing part of this blog is that my third novel - that's right, third! - is now available for preorders on Amazon.
I've dreamed of publishing a novel since I was a little girl, and the first time it happened it was terrifying and wonderful and funny and inspiring. Now, the third time - and I never dared to dream about a third time - it's still the same. I can't believe how amazing it is to have people reading my stories, no matter how often it happens.
Thank you, everyone. See you in January!
